doctrine
1. We, followers of Nenbutsushu Sampozan Muryojuji Temple, rely on nenbutsu, following the Buddha’s teachings shown in Buddhist sutras.
2. Buddhism is the religion of wisdom.
The purpose of Buddhism is completion of wisdom (panna-paramita), anuttara-sammyaku-sambodhi, that is, the great nirvana.
3. We respect the Fourfold Kindness , the path that human beings should follow.
We must realize that we are allowed to live.
the Fourfold Kindness are as follows:
(1) Kindness of Parents:We have to be dutiful to our parents.
(2) Kindness of Sentient Beings: We have to thank for all living things.
(3) Kindness of Nation’s Leaders (Society): We have to keep the law and fulfill our duties.
(4) Kindness of the Triple Gem: We have to believe in the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha.
4. We have to respect the Triple Gem, and with harmony as our base we must value loyalty and propriety and be good examples for others, based on the spirit of the Seventeen-Article Constitution of Prince Shotoku, Master of Buddhism in Japan.
To be trustable and be polite to every person with a spirit of harmony is the base as a human being.
